Let yourself be carried through Basel on the calmly gliding Rhystärn and enjoy choral music at its finest. On the choir boat, singers of all generations come together on a musical level. The day ends with a gala dinner with music, in other words sensual delights between art and cuisine.

Learn more about the Basque treasure trove of songs and sing along with the children’s choir ‘Leioa Kantika Korala’ and their choirmaster Basilio Astulez.

The melodic beauty of Norwegian choral works by composers such as Edvard Grieg and Knut Nystedt reflects both their closeness to nature and their spiritual roots. Let us take you on a journey through the Norwegian singing tradition with the Norwegian Girls Choir under the direction of Anne Karin Sundal.
GALA-DINNER with MUSIc

Enjoy the new programme ‘Blick in d’Wält’ by the ‘Herrenstimmen des Lucerne Boys Choir’, treat yourself to culinary delights from the ship’s chef and glide through the middle of Basel on the choir ship. The combination of choir concert and gala dinner guarantees an entertaining, musically and culinarily highly stimulating evening that touches all the senses.
The ‘Herrenstimmen des Boys Choir Lucerne’ are a small formation of the ‘Boys Choir Lucerne’. The 25 or so singers, aged between 13 and 23, all come from the Lucerne region and have sung in the choir since they were boys. The ‘men’s voices of the Lucerne Boys Choir’ were portrayed on SRF 1’s Kulturplatz programme on the occasion of the 2023 festival and were subsequently the subject of a Sternstunde Musik programme. They have since developed into true show stars and impress with their humour, musicality and charm. They are led by Andreas Wiedmer. boys-choir-lucerne.ch
Admission fees
Gala-Dinner with music: The price (CHF 95) includes an aperitif drink, the 3-course menu (veggie or meat), the performance and the boat trip. Drinks are paid for on the spot.
Workshops and round trips: A solidarity contribution (recommended CHF 15 per person per round trip) is expected when disembarking. This is to pay for the boat trip and participation in the workshop.
If you want to be sure to find a seat on the choir ship, you can purchase a seat ticket for CHF 30 in advance, which will secure you a seat even if there is a large crowd.
Departure and arrival are at the Schifflände Basel. The workshops are suitable for everyone aged 12 and over.
The round trips can also be enjoyed as a pure excursion on the upper deck at the following times:
10.30 – 12.00 / 13.30 – 15.00 / 16.30 – 18.00 / 19.30 – 20.30 / 20.30 – 21.30 / 21.30 – 22.30.
