Sing garden

barfüsserplatz
WED 28 may & sat 31 may, 13.00 – 17.00, THU & FRI 11.00 – 17.00
Sustainability is a top priority at the EJCF. In the Sing Garden on Barfüsserplatz, the audience also contributes to the fact that sustainability is lived at the EJCF. The hand-operated eco-carousel makes its rounds to unamplified choral music and invites you to take a poetic ride, used hand flags are sewn into rucksacks in the sewing corner, old T-shirts are printed with new motifs and passers-by swap the latest (festival) experiences in the street café. The ‘Stadtwald’ (city forest), which has been leant out by the ‘Theaterplatz-Quartier’ association, creates a garden-like ambience.

Using three sewing machines and various tables, we recycle old festival flags into rucksacks, bags, shoe bags and much more. Your ideas are also welcome. Share this sewing happening with us! Come along spontaneously and sew in good company, make eyelets or pull in cords. Bring us your used festival flag, buy the newly created products on site or sew something new yourself on site and take it home free of charge (max. 1 item/person).
recyling CENTRE: printing bus
Operating hours: WED 13.00 – 17.00, THU & FRI 11.00 – 17.00
Bring your old T-shirt or used cotton bag to Barfüsserplatz and print the EJCF logo or one of two other singing-themed motifs to choose from on the spot (CHF 5 per print). In our printing workshop, young and old can print their own designs. However, you can also have your item printed by the print bus operator Gaspard. This creates gifts for singing enthusiasts or mementos of the EJCF 2025 that are sure to bring great joy. Printable items can also be purchased at the information stand.
